Among several natural gas vehicle fueling developments announced Thursday, Clean Energy Fuels said it will double the capacity of its compressed natural gas facility for Saddle Creek Transportation in Lakeland, Fla., where the pioneering CNG trucker is adding 25 CNG-fueled Freightliner Cascadia tractors to its existing fleet of 150 NGVs.

Ryder Rides Saddle Creek into Texas, Blu in Utah and Georgia

Ryder System’s efforts to provide natural gas-fueled trucks for lease is gaining momentum, as the Florida-based company has disclosed deals for 30 compressed natural gas-fueled trucks for Saddle Creek in Texas (and one in Louisiana), and 55 liquefied natural gas-fueled trucks for Blu in Utah and Georgia.

Cascadia 113s Said First with CNG to Maximize Aerodynamics

In a deal nailed down at ACT Expo 2013 this past week, Florida’s Saddle Creek Transportation ordered ten Freightliner Cascadia 113 tractors with advanced tractor aerodynamics, new aerodynamic back-of-cab CNG cylinder arrays by Agility Fuel Systems, and Cummins Westport ISX12 G engines.
