Upgrade at the Landfill and a New Mother-Daughter Arrangement

BioCNG is extending its work for the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District in Louisiana, upgrading an existing landfill gas-based compressed natural gas fueling station in Washington, La. and adding a second facility, at the District’s recycling center in Opelousas, for back-up and distribution.

Sheriff’s Department Benefits from Award-Winning Project

More than a dozen dedicated-compressed natural gas and bi-fuel CNG-gasoline vehicles are powered by landfill gas-based biomethane in St. Landry Parish, north of Lafayette, La. There, the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District has just won the LMOP 2012 Project of the Year award from the U.S. EPA (LMOP stands for Landfill Methane Outreach Program).
