‘IntelliGauge’ Tool Is Aimed at Fleet Managers
GE Capital Fleet Services is adding alternative fuel vehicles to IntelliGauge, a smartphone and iPad application that already allows fleet manufacturers to compare more than 550 vehicle models from 39 manufacturers for 2013.
“IntelliGauge is the only tool of its kind that allows for the comparison of vehicles from different manufacturers,” GE says.
The newest version, GE says, provides
- comparison of current versus future vehicle populations by fuel type;
- fuel efficiency information of vehicles from the full EPA list, which features thousands of vehicles including hundreds of CNG, CNG conversion, diesel, electric, PHEV, and hybrid vehicles;
- the ability to compare more than 550 models from 39 manufacturers for 2013; and
- the ability to edit standard MPG estimates (to reflect actual observed values within a particular fleet) and modify percentage of electricity or CNG usage.
GE promises an easier-to-navigate user interface “that better allows for the editing, saving and sharing (via email or Twitter) of specific fleet scenarios.”
