Canadian Nod for Province Follows Ontario and B.C.

CNG Cylinders International has received Canadian CRN approval for the sale of its large Type III, carbon fiber-on-aluminum compressed natural gas fuel cylinders in Alberta.

CNGci manufactures large-diameter Type III CNG fuel cylinders using aluminum billets.

Approval CRN No. R2348.52 for Alberta follows previously approved approvals for Ontario and British Columbia (F&F, May 2, 2016).

“We are pleased to be able to increase our market penetration to include another key Canadian province and look forward to serving our customers even better,” the company says.

‘More Usable DGE’

“The superior heat dissipation of the aluminum liner allows for significantly more gas and thus more usable DGE [diesel gallon equivalence] in the cylinder under fast-fill conditions,” CNGci adds – “an industry game-changer.”
